The EI Examiner’s role in the evaluation of the child is an integral part of the 45-day timeline activities (i.e., taking the child’s history, administering an instrument (DAYC-2), and identifying the child’s level of functioning). The EI Examiner must balance the responsibilities of administering the DAYC-2 while engaging the family throughout the process, including pre-testing activities, during the visit to administer test, and post-testing activities.
